The Arab Bank recently made a financial donation to support the reconstruction and development of the Ghor Al-Mazraa Comprehensive Health Center in the South Ghor region, a project being implemented by the "Himmetna" charitable association. This project, which is part of "Himmetna's" plan to develop 25 health centers across the kingdom, aims to improve the level of healthcare services in underserved areas. The bank's support for this initiative is driven by its responsibility toward the local community and its active citizenship values, through concerted efforts to support the healthcare sector as part of the bank's sustainability strategy.

The new Ghor Al-Mazraa Comprehensive Health Center will consist of two floors with an area of approximately 1,916 square meters, in addition to auxiliary buildings to serve the staff at the health center. The center serves about 25,000 people. Key modifications in the reconstruction and development process include demolishing and rebuilding the center, adding a first floor to expand the center to include new medical clinics addressing the most common patient needs, dormitories for medical staff, and increasing capacity to improve the patient treatment journey. Additionally, the emergency department, physical therapy department, maternal and child health section, a mammogram room, a medical waste area, a shaded outdoor area for children, facilities for people with disabilities, and parking spaces will be expanded. The building will also be thermally insulated, and an air conditioning system suitable for the high temperatures and salinity of the Ghor area will be used.

The bank's support will contribute to covering the costs of the project, including demolition, excavation, rebuilding, civil works, infrastructure, finishes, electrical and mechanical works, interior design, and visual identity, starting from designs and studies and ending with implementation according to the highest standards, while ensuring the sustainability of services and providing training and capacity building for the staff working at the center.

Dr. Fadia Samara, President of the "Himmetna" Association, praised the Arab Bank's support for the project, saying: "We are proud to cooperate with the Arab Bank and highly appreciate its donation and support for this project, which will have a tangible impact on a large number of beneficiaries by providing fair healthcare. We believe in the role of the private sector in achieving sustainable development, which aligns with our vision of achieving justice and quality in healthcare services, enhancing patient rights, and improving the level of healthcare services provided to all segments of society in a prepared and safe environment." She added: "The Ghor Al-Mazraa Comprehensive Health Center is vital because it serves approximately 25,000 people in the region, and it is one of a series of projects

It is worth noting that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy for sustainability and corporate social responsibility, reflecting its commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development.
