The rehabilitation and development of Jerash Comprehensive Health Center is the third project under the Himmetna Health initiative to develop 25 model health centers across the Kingdom. The project aims to enhance healthcare services for the local community through a comprehensive redevelopment that includes civil works, infrastructure, finishes, electrical and mechanical systems, architectural design, medical engineering, interior design, and visual identity. The project covers everything from initial designs and studies to full implementation, with a focus on service sustainability, improving the patient journey, capacity building, and smart digital solutions.
Jerash Comprehensive Health Center is located in a strategic area of Jerash Governorate, serving a growing population. It is a key pillar in strengthening health infrastructure in northern Jordan and supporting local communities. The center is near the archaeological site in Jerash and serves over 70,000 visitors annually from the governorate and surrounding areas.
After redevelopment, the center’s area expanded from 1,100 m² to 1,800 m². The project included an administrative floor with meeting and training halls, offices, and patient service rooms, a new main entrance for outpatient clinics, an expanded pharmacy, and an independent logistical building of 72 m² with a medical waste room, laundry, storage, and a guard room.
Medical services were expanded to include internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine, community health, gynecology, orthopedics, mental health, telemedicine, driver examination clinics, emergency services, and maternal and child health.
The center was equipped to be smart and comprehensive, with elevators, accessible restrooms and entrances, separated pathways, electronic queue management, organized reception points, and integration with the “Hakim” system. Sustainability systems include high-efficiency VRF air conditioning, thermal insulation, solar energy preparation, a transformer and generator, and RO water purification.
The project cost 1,300,000 JD and was completed in 12 months. Following the redevelopment, Jerash Comprehensive Health Center became an advanced primary healthcare model, reflecting Himmetna Health’s commitment to high-quality healthcare.
The project was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II in March 2026.
